Dawn Statement of Faith

Dawn hopes to provide a gathering place for people to connect more deeply and consistently with God. We are non-denominational and welcome anyone who wants to draw closer to God and make Him part of their daily lives.

Our primary source and guide for our lives and our business is the Bible, and we attempt to remain true to its teaching in word and actions. Our allegiance is solely to God and our desire is to follow after Him. We recognize that we do all of those things imperfectly and require the grace of God, as we also freely give it to others.

Central Scripture

From Hosea 6:3 (MSG):

“We’re ready to study God, eager for God-knowledge.
As sure as dawn breaks, so sure is his daily arrival.
He comes as rain comes, as spring rain refreshing the ground.”

Doctrines

We hold certain doctrines that we believe to be central to the Christian faith, and we try to demonstrate them in our lives and in the content we provide.

1. The Bible is the inspired, infallible word of God. (II Tim. 3:16,7)

2. Jesus was fully human and fully divine. (Col. 1:15,6)

3. Jesus’ death and resurrection bought our salvation from sin and death, and His salvation is available to all who receive Him. (Heb. 10:10; 1 Cor. 15:3-5)

4. The presence and power of the Holy Spirit is at work in us, convicting our hearts, and enabling us to follow God. (Titus 3:4-6)

5. Jesus will return, and we will be reunited with Him forever. (Rev. 22:12)
